Each consisting of the massive head, shoulders and fore paws of a male lion; their heads inclined towards each other and surrounded by thick wild manes; one with mouth agape and paws placed wide; the other more watchful with closed mouth and crossed paws; modeled after Luigi Barro's 1875 bronze Venetian sculpture Monument to Daniele Manin in the Camp Manin, Venezia. Very good condition.Provenance: La Galleria Ca'Ressonico, Venice
